I brought my two Shih Tzu mixes to get their first from at Brown Dog Bakery as I just moved to Ankeny and I’ve already rescheduled. Sam is the best! She’s punctual, friendly & a great listener to what was needed. I’ll be back to do some shopping as well.. they have a nice variety, it’s very clean and everyone is friendly and helpful. Definitely worth checking out.

Dany had her first groom today. I’ve been doing it myself for 7 years, she’s an Aussie. Every time I finish I say to myself that groomers are not paid enough and today I still agree!. She looks so good, I am not exhausted and I don’t have tons of hair to clean up. We will definitely be going back regularly. Thank you so much!

I have two Shih Tzu dogs - a four month old puppy, Theo, black white & brown (that just had his 1st grooming today) and a three year old, Buddy, tan & black and they absolutely LOVE ❤️ LOVE ❤️LOVE their groomer, Sam! She is a very patient, loving and an excellent groomer. I have never had any complaints and she always says the pups are great during their grooming appointments. Sometimes I find that hard to believe LOL but they always look beautiful when I pick them up. The store is also very clean and organized and has everything that your pet would need! Love love love Brown Dog Bakery! My dog LOVES the treats they have, the blueberry ones are his favorite! The groomers always do such a great job as well! I know my dog is not always an angel, but i’m glad they put up with him and take such good care of him. We appreciate the care given, the prices are completely reasonable, and how friendly everyone is. I highly recommend! Thank you to all staff, Sarah was our groomer the past few grooming appointments, as well as today, and she is amazing.
